So you’ve heard about our in-house competition and fundraiser for Jerks 4 Jewels (J4J) on Saturday, December 15th. That is just part one to our two part holiday celebration for our Kingfield community. Later that evening, we invite you back to join us for our third annual chili cook-off and a variety of holiday-themed fundraising activities! Ugly Christmas sweaters are STRONGLY encouraged :)

In the spirit of the holidays, we will have activities that night to continue to contribute to J4J. Some of the things we have in store:

  1. Make-your-own Christmas ornament station - a small fee will allow you to craft your very own tree ornament. Great for kids and adults!

  2. Gingerbread House Competition - teams of three will compete for the best gingerbread house creation. There will be prizes for most life-like, most creative and most edible.

  3. Dodgeball Tournament - we’re bringing back the full scale dodgeball tournament! Teams of four will compete for glory (and prizes) in the turf room. Dust of your gym class hero skills and combine your team!

  4. 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off - vie for the honor of Best Chili at Kingfield by entering your favorite tried-and-true recipe. First, second and third prize will be determined by popular vote.

While prizes abound, remember that all proceeds for this event will go towards Jerks 4 Jewels. For more information about this non-profit, check out our blog post from a few weeks back here or head to their website.

Stayed tuned - next week we’ll feature one of our members who has been affected by testicular cancer. He’ll share his story and how CrossFit has impacted his recovery journey.
