  1. Choose 3 words that best describe you.
  2. In 2-4 sentences, tell us - “why CrossFit?”
CrossFit encourages me to take ownership of my health, and wellness. Aside from the great physical benefits, the sport has also really helped me mentally - after a long day of work, and dealing with the complexities and craziness in life, it's a healthy outlet that I look forward to. I always heard about the community aspect of CrossFit but never realized really how unique and incredible it is. The Kingfield community is especially unique with some of the most passionate and dedicated people I've ever met. I love that with CrossFit everyone, from all walks of life, come together to sweat and suffer, work hard and improve on their weaknesses together. CrossFit (and the Kingfield Community) push me beyond anything I thought I could accomplish before - I've learned that you can do anything if you work hard enough!
  3. What goals are you working on - inside of Kingfield?
I have been mostly in the Strength class (with Coach Josh) and I am focusing on getting stronger, and improving my nasal breathing! I enjoy the strength class because I didn't have great knowledge and experience in the techniques and nuances of weigh lifting, and I feel empowered being able to move heavy stuff around! I also love gymnastic movements, so on any given day you will find me working on my handstand walks and muscle ups. One of my longer term goals is to enter a competition.
  4. In 2-4 sentences, tell us what you’re up to OUTSIDE of Kingfield.
I am a human slave to my cats. I enjoy a good adrenaline rush - so I like to climb, scuba dive and go on outdoor adventures. I am kinda a workaholic and hope to be able to impact and change the world for the better. I nerd out around smart cities, zombies and space. I love to travel and try to integrate mindfulness, stoicism and minimalism into my life.
  5. If you had 1 box for all of your things - what would you put in it?
I have a bug-out bag of sorts - so I'd probably put that in the box, as well as some special rocks (and crystals) that I've collected over the years, stuff for outdoor adventures, a journal and a yoga mat.
  6. What is your spirit animal?
Blue Whale - largest animal ever known to live on the earth - graceful giants that sing and roam in all of the worlds oceans. Blue whales are also known for being intelligent, social, and caring.
