WHY DO YOU DO CROSSFIT?
I CrossFit because it's the only thing that keeps me sane after a long day of work. CrossFit is no longer just another workout, it's a lifestyle and a destresser, plus I get to see my friends at the gym.
HOW HAS CROSSFIT AFFECTED YOU?
CrossFit pushes me to challenge myself mentally and physically. I would have never thought I could do handstand push-ups, weightlifting movements, or even anything that requires endurance! I used to be able to run only 100 meters (I was a sprinter, yes I was, don't judge), and now I can push myself to run 800 meters without dying (that’s a lifetime PR, so far).
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO KEEP COMING BACK?
I want to get better and the only way to get better is to keep practicing it. Another huge motivation is the people and the community at CrossFit Kingfield. I love having people who keep me accountable and coaches who push me to go further.
DO YOU HAVE A MOTTO? SOMETHING YOU TELL YOURSELF WHEN YOU'RE FIGHTING THROUGH A WORKOUT? IF SO, DO YOU MIND SHARING IT?
One rep at a time. You either put work in and get better each time, or be weak and fat. Maybe…just maybe one day…your abs will decide to show. HA!
