Let the Games Begin: The Schedule + Details for the Open at Kingfield

We’ve told you about it, we’ve broken it down, we’ve set the stage. Now here’s what you have to look forward to over the next 12 weeks.

1) All workouts for the week will be announced on Monday before noon (both Friday and Saturday’s workouts will be announced so you can plan accordingly).

2) Saturday’s workouts are NOT in class – they will be done at NOON, in as many heats as needed for everyone who wants to participate to do so.
-We will ask for your patience on these. Plan on taking up to an hour to organize, warm-up and complete whatever we have in store for you

Thursday, Feb. 23rd – OPEN WORKOUT 17.1 IS ANNOUNCED

Friday, Feb. 24th – Starting at 5PM, we will begin warm-ups and heats of 17.1*

*This will continue for the next 4 Fridays (3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24)

For the 2017 Open, we will be creating teams! Your teammates and you will be accountability partners, cheerleaders and judges for each other during the Open. If you plan on participating, we will ask that you let us know by no later than February 17th. We will be randomly assigning teams once everyone has registered. Your team will receive points for teammate attendance, enthusiasm, and photo ops. We will have themed nights during the open with points for costumes and we will give away a grand prize to the team that accumulates the most points during the Open (We do acknowledge the desire of some athletes to be focused and intent on their performance – we will provide opportunities outside of dressing up during the workout to earn your team points).

We’ll have more details on the team challenge in weeks to come. For now, mark your calendar and get excited: The Open is coming.
